As a filmmaker, I always strive to create something unique and beautiful, and stray from the common narrative. I make films because it allows me to express those nightmares and surreal dreams that daydream throughout my mind. Film allows me to express my irrational ideas or thoughts and create something beautiful out of them that can be shared with others. As a quiet person, when I create a film it allows me to have a stronger voice and speak my mind without the use of words. My goal in my filmmaking is to simply allow someone to take a break from logic and reality and witness something unique, in terms of the aesthetics as well as the themes. I pay very close attention to detail and attempt to challenge others to artistically express what they find to be beautiful, just as I do. Everyone has a different eye but if one creates something that is true to themselves, then it will always be a great piece of art. I realized through my filmmaking that if you satisfy your own eye, then you will often also satisfy and reach others, and that is my filmmaking goal.
